WHERE DID THIS CHILD COME FROM???
The other day while camping, in a wooded area near the beach in Newport Oregon, cooking a bacon breakfast in the rain (ok we had a little canopy cover) my sweet daughter says "Daddy, I wanna go to the mall. Can we go to the mall?" Poor dear didnt understand why mom and dad couldnt stop laughing. But then TODAY we were in the drive through at McD., we give the cash to the typical young just out of highschool kid at the first window and as we pull forward my FOUR year old daughter say "I hope the next guy is a boy too" *mom cleans ears to make sure she is hearing right* "why?" DD "because I like boys....." "....and girls and everyone. They are all my friends". LOL. Nice cover, but REALLY??? Daddy better just get that shotgun out now. No waiting.
Perhaps I could understand her need to try and sneek my face powder to her room by putting it down her shirt (yes this happened just two days ago) if I was also a girly girl. If mom spent time in front of a mirror putting on makeup or doing my hair then I could see the attraction. If we went clothes shopping all the time or something but I DON'T. Where did she get this? I could hardly believe her the one time she ended up with me while I was looking for clothes for me. She was going up and down the aisle and would pull something out and say "How about this one mom? Get this one". Yikes is all I can say. YIKES!
I love my princess, and she just goes to show that it can't ALL be nurture.
