Kid's say the darnest things

Today my daughter just walks past her daddy and says in a southern sweet drawl as if she was commenting on the sunny day "you sure awr gettin fat dad." (4 yrs old 02/26/2011)

Jenster: Beaverton, OR, United States; My family is the most important thing in my life. I found out after my first son was born that I am quite rare. I have Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2B (Miyoshi MD). We had a daughter 21m after our son and then we were given a surprise miracle baby in 2011 (FYI, some antibiotics and BC don't mix well). It was a wonderful gift as we had wanted another child but couldn't justify the choice with my MD. At 16 weeks pregnant I awoke to gushes of blood. Rushing to the ER at 5 am, our 2 children in tow, we were told we had miscarried our babe. Imagine our shock and surprise when we went for the followup appointment with my regular OB/GYN a week later and discovered a healthy, alive babe. Our little Mason continues to bring joy and love into our family. Though things can be tough we are blessed with great friends and family to support and help out when needed. On the one hand MD makes life that much more challenging, and on the other I am very aware of my many blessings and take very little for granted. I see the lessons for good my children are learning and we look for the sunbeams and rainbows in the storms of life.
