OMSI
A couple Saturdays ago we got to go to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Mom's library has a "Cultural Pass" to it so it didn't cost us a fortune (the snacks because we forgot to pack a lunch did though). This place is something you would have to do in sections as it is too much to do all at once. They have "Samson" right now, one of three most complete skeletons in the world!! All but his pelvis and a few foot bones are real. THAT was awesome for me. There was also an astronaut speaking which is why we decided to go in the first place. Kids though were not interested in the overcrowded seating and distant slide show so we went out and left Dad and Chris to enjoy. Matthews favorite thing was a bottle rocket that you could fill water and air as you wanted into it then push the button to see it shoot up withing its little wire cage. He could have played with that for hours (we are working on getting parts to build a simpler one at home). Rachel was just happy there was SO MUCH to keep her attention and happily flitted from one activity center to another. We spent several hours in there and it was NOT enough. Going back soon I hope.
