I love it when things like this are news. Usually its the latest Hollywood or political drama that pops up on yahoo when I go to sign into mail but this story caught my eye. Personally I do not see that choosing to be with your wife who could die or a title fight that big of a choice, but this guy has an amazing outlook on life and his strong faith in the face of adversity is something to admire. The very fact that this made the news, God and all, gives me hope. Plus, he has been with his wife since they were 14 years old. Just another witness to the possibility of true, lasting, love.

- My family is the most important thing in my life. I found out after my first son was born that I am quite rare. I have Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2B (Miyoshi MD). We had a daughter 21m after our son and then we were given a surprise miracle baby in 2011 (FYI, some antibiotics and BC don't mix well). It was a wonderful gift as we had wanted another child but couldn't justify the choice with my MD. At 16 weeks pregnant I awoke to gushes of blood. Rushing to the ER at 5 am, our 2 children in tow, we were told we had miscarried our babe. Imagine our shock and surprise when we went for the followup appointment with my regular OB/GYN a week later and discovered a healthy, alive babe. Our little Mason continues to bring joy and love into our family. Though things can be tough we are blessed with great friends and family to support and help out when needed. On the one hand MD makes life that much more challenging, and on the other I am very aware of my many blessings and take very little for granted. I see the lessons for good my children are learning and we look for the sunbeams and rainbows in the storms of life.
